Decide what business result you need

Start with a concrete action: a qualified enquiry, appointment, store visit, or online purchase. “More reach” may be a useful awareness goal, but it is not the same as sales. Choose an objective and destination that match the action you can actually measure.

Before spending, check that the offer, service area, landing page, and follow-up process are ready. An ad cannot fix unavailable appointments, unclear pricing, or unanswered messages.

Build a simple test

Choose one audience that could realistically buy and one clear offer. Prepare a small set of distinct creative concepts rather than minor color changes: a product demonstration, customer problem, service explanation, or time-sensitive offer if it is genuine. Use copy that says who the offer is for and what happens after clicking.

Set a test amount your business can afford to lose while learning. The useful budget depends on margins, conversion rate, audience size, and sales cycle; there is no universal daily amount. Avoid changing targeting, creative, and landing page all at once, because you will not know what influenced the outcome.

Make the next step easy

A click should lead to a relevant page or a well-prepared conversation. On a landing page, repeat the offer, show proof that is genuine, answer likely objections, and keep the form short. For messaging ads, decide who replies, what questions qualify a lead, and how you record follow-up.

Respond while the enquiry is still useful to the customer. If a lead is not a fit, record the reason rather than counting every submission as success.

Measure beyond platform numbers

Review spend, clicks, leads, qualified leads, appointments, and customers. Cost per lead can look attractive while sales remain poor. Compare results with your own margins and capacity. Attribution is imperfect, so combine platform reporting with a CRM or simple enquiry log and ask customers how they found you.

Keep compliant with current advertising policies and avoid sensitive or unsupported claims. Meta’s tools and campaign options change, so verify settings in Ads Manager before launch.
